Operation for Essential Legal Services

As announced by the Singapore Government on 5 April 2020 and 21 April 2020, certain Legal Services and matters are considered Essential Services. We are able to operate strictly for Essential Services only, but any attendance in our office is strictly by appointment only.

For those with existing appointments or have made appointment requests for appointments on 7 April 2020 and after, except for Essential Services , all appointments have been cancelled.  If you wish to book your appointments for Non-Essential Services, please select dates on 2 June 2020 and after. Please note all confirmed appointments will be cancelled or postponed if Singapore Government extend the “circuit breaker” period beyond 1 June 2020.

For those clients with existing matters (eg. Property matters) with us and which is time sensitive, we will update you by phone or emails once for necessary actions required on your part.

For services such as Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths, this is only for extreme urgency cases where time if of the essence. You may book your request via our Booking system but only for urgency basis.

For Deed Poll (Change of Name), Power of Attorney, and other non-Essential Legal Services, we will not be taking any appointment between 7 April 2020 to 1 June 2020, and appointments are opened for booking on 2 June 2020 onwards.

Essential Services

For Essential Services, applicable to Law Practices. please access Advisory for Law Practices on Elevated Safe Distancing Measures.

Essential Legal Services includes:

  • Commercial transactions or actions having statutory, regulatory or contractual deadlines (whether local or foreign) for which no waiver or deferment has been or will be granted or transactions or actions for which completion is due or time is of the essence in this Circuit Breaker period
  • Conveyancing transactions with deadlines where time is of the essence or with milestone deadlines to be met, including but not limited to exercise of option and completion deadlines, and timelines affecting progress payments, deposits, monies in escrow and completion monies; and
  • Urgent and essential Wills and Probate related services (for example the drafting of wills and execution of lasting powers of attorney for the vulnerable), for which no deferment may be made.

For Singapore Law Practices with existing or new matters with us, please note that we will operate intermittently strictly for Essential Services only during the suspension period of 7 April 2020 to 1 June 2020.

For any Conveyancing deadline where attendance in our office is required, kindly email us to schedule an appointment so that arrangement can be made for physical attendance at our office.

Controlled Access

Restricted Access

Due to the current Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation in Singapore and elsewhere, our office of LOH EBEN ONG LLP is only accessible to persons who have:-

  • no flu or flu-like symptoms, eg. fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, breathlessness
  • not been to overseas within the last 14 days
  • not under any Quarantine order, Leave of Absence, or Stay Home Notice (SHH)
  • not been in contact with any infected person or suspected infected person within the last 14 days

Requirements

All visitors to our office should do the following:-

  1. wear masks at all times
  2. sanitize your hands (available outside our office)
  3. check-in and check-out with SafeEntry QR Code
  4. keep or maintain safe-distancing

Only those who have legal business with us should attend at our office, and there should be no accompany persons. Vulnerable persons such as senior citizens are encouraged to stay at home.

Authentication for Notarial Cert – SAL
